How HMH intervention tools will aid PCSD students: Instruction in Action

There’s a reason Deputy Superintendent of Schools Da’Ron Wilson calls the Poughkeepsie City School District’s HMH curriculum initiative a “game changer.”
The intervention resources for educators to meet students where they are and help them catch up to their appropriate educational grade level is the difference between what the district had before and what it will have in HMH.
The curriculum system being implemented in each Poughkeepsie school has a full suite of intervention tools that can be tailored to each individual student’s learning pathway.
This year’s Superintendent’s Conference Day professional development Thursday was focused on the integration of HMH and its intervention tools, following an initial training in late August. HMH is providing roughly 100 days of professional development this school year.
