PHS remembers 9/11 at AFJROTC ceremony

This morning, our Air Force Junior ROTC held its annual 9/11 remembrance ceremony.
The solemn service at the Poughkeepsie High School flagpole, attended by most of the student body and staff, paid tribute to the memory of that fateful day 25 years ago, the nearly 3,000 lives lost and the bravery displayed by many.
Each year, the AFJROTC keeps the story of September 11, 2001 vivid in the minds of Poughkeepsie's students, even as years pass and first-hand memories give way to historical retellings, with new students leading the ceremonies each fall.
